Okay! Hi! I'm just going to try my hand at this whole writing thing. Please let me know of any errors, and I will try to fix it as fast as I can. I will try to upload every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but for the starting week, I will try to do one a day. If I get ok feedback, cool! I'll keep going with every day, but if not, I guess I'll only do three a week. My novel will have a lot of gore and brutal scenes, and I won't be stingy with cursing. So, there was no explicit rules against that, so I'm gonna take it pretty far. You have been warned!
    Summary
Wang Zhuang belongs to the Wang Clan. Of course, that is what one would think, unless you truly looked deep at the ties between the family and Wang Zhuang. At the tender age of 9, Wang Zhuang's parents were brutally mutilated and murdered in front of him. His sister had her spine ripped out mercilessly and eaten savagely. Wang Zhuang could not understand why someone would do this to his family. That is, until he saw from under his hiding spot beneath an elevated rug in the floor, a Wang Clan assassin elbem fall to the ground right next to him, and he heard his Uncle Zhao chuckle hideously at the gruesome sight in the room. After escaping in the dead of the night by crawling through his families blood, he took the elbem the man left and hid in the closest forest. Wang Zhuang carves that nights events into his heart, and sets off to take down the Wang Clan. Wang Zhuang ends up finding friends who can help, but he is attacked in the night, where he flees into that same forest. There, he finds a cultivation manual that cares not for talent, composition, or perception. It requires one thing : Getting stronger through constant fighting.

    Chapter One

The smell of blood permeated Wang Zhuang's clothes. Nasty wounds were seen all over his body, with blood seeping out of most. Wang Zhuang clenched his teeth as he dug his fingers into his shoulder to pull out a barbed arrowhead that came off when he tried to get the shaft out. Wang Zhuang found it, and quickly grasped around the holding device that previously held it to the shaft of the arrow. Wang Zhuang counted to 3.
    "1,"
    "2,"
    "3,"
Wang Zhuang's scream was muffled by his sleeve. Rolling on the floor in pain, Wang Zhuang's 9 year old brain almost couldn't handle it and black dots swam like coy in his vision. Mustering the last of his strength, Wang Zhuang dragged himself into a nearby burrow by a tree trunk he saw earlier, immediately passing out once inside.

When Wang Zhaung awoke, nasuea washed over him like a tidal wave. Wang Zhuang quickly grabbed into his belts rucksack for any bandages he still had left. Disappointed, Wang Zhuang found only one roll of bandages. That was definitely not going to be enough to bandage all of Wang Zhuang's wounds. Even so, he made do, using as little bandages as possible.

But you may be asking, how did Wang Zhaung get into this state as a 9 year old child less than 1.3 meters tall? To answer this, we have to go back to after the fateful night of Wang Zhuang seeing his family get slaughtered in front of him...

Panting, Wang Zhuang stumbled into the forest, stopping every now and then to retch everywhere whenever the faces of his family came up in his mind. Fumbling with his two possessions, a dull knife he got as his first birthday present, and the medal one of the assassins accidentally dropped. Smelling the copper scent of blood all over him, Wang Zhuang tried to find the nearest water source. Wang Zhuang needed to get rid of this scent, or else he would immediately be questioned even more if he tried to get into a town. An orphan traveling was questionable enough, but a bloodstained orphan? Wang Zhuang had no doubt that the nice men would question were his parents were, and he didn't answer, they would threaten him, and if he did, the top brass of the clan would obviously know he was still alive and walking.

So, of course Wang Zhuang had to cleanse the blood. Wang Zhuang went over his plan in his head. Wang Zhuang would first, of course, try to get into a town. Then, he would at least try to get an apprenticeship to a blacksmith or another profession, just in case the third step of his plan worked out. Wang Zhuang theorized that if he posed as one of the Wang Clan assassins, he might be able to take them down from the inside, instead of brute force.

As a child, Wang Zhaung was very clever and was always smarter than his peers, letting him become much more mature than others at his age. Wang Zhuang came to a grim realization. He would need to have strength for his ruse to work. No one would believe a waste with no ability could be an assassin. So, to gain power, Wang Zhuang would need to cultivate.

In Wang Zhuang's world, cultivation was key to gaining power. Cultivation was all about absorbing the World's Qi, or energy. Cultivation had levels though, based on how strong the body was, or how much Qi your dantian, where Qi is stored, could hold. But, without a good cultivation manual, even a peerless talent who could gather Qi at an insane rate would be useless, because the Qi did nothing to your actual prowess in combat if there was no specific path to guide it. Qi channels, or meridians, are like roads, and the Qi is a horse. A cultivation manual is like the rider, it guides the horse to do something meaningful, instead of it wandering aimlessly until it runs away. Cultivation required one to be 9 years of age. When Wang Zhuang saw his parents die in front of him, it had been his birthday, and his father as the previous illustrious yet old Patriarch of the Wang Clan was going to gift him the best cultivation manual the Wang Clan had. Alas, the terrible tragedy caused by greed occurred, with his Uncle Zhao always looking at the Patriarch's seat. Uncle Zhao truly had the right to, as he

Cultivation manuals have tiers. They are divided by how many meridians are in the circulation of Qi described in the manual. A Human tier manual uses a fourth of the bodies meridians in the circulation. An Earth tier manual uses a half of the bodies meridians in the circulation. A Heaven tier manual uses three fourths of the bodies meridians. Finally, a Celestial tier manual uses all of the meridians in the body, and will grant the body an extra meridian, the celestial meridian, when fully cultivated.

There is another way to enhance the battle prowess of a cultivator. There are battle skills that can be learned, that were developed from forefathers from past times of ultimate strength. Battle skills use the inner Qi gathered in the body and turn it into something semi-corporeal outside of the body. The tiers for cultivation manuals are used for almost every thing else in the world of cultivation, such as battle skills, except the level of the body itself. The strength of a cultivator is divided into tiers, which are the Man, Practitioner, Vortex, and God realms. It is further separated into three levels of that tier, which are the completion tier, perfection tier, and the Quasi-realm of the next stage, which meant having half the power of the next stage. Of course, the true geniuses of the clan could simply skip the Quasi-realm with heavenly resources, which left many lone cultivators stranded.

The Man realm is the strengthening of the body and organs by the means of the small amount of Qi gathered in the body. Then, to break through to the Practitioner realm, you must gather sufficient Qi to expand the meridians and revitalize the cells in the body. After doing so, your strength would go up at least tenfold. The vortex realm is something of legends in the Yunxia country Wang Zhuang lived in and the Wang clan is one of the Five Great Clans that govern the Yunxia country, which is a massive country even to the rest of the world, but it is supposedly to clear through the blockages in the eight vital meridians. The God realm is just a myth passed down to scare children, saying that a cultivator who cleared the blockages in the mysterious Huato channel, and that those cultivators need to eat children to stay strong and healthy.
Of course, even the Wang Clan's very best cultivation manual is only a Human tier manual, and it is only better than other human tier manual's because it comes with a strong battle ability at the Quasi-Earth tier ability, but only one who cultivates the manual is able to utilize the ability, and at a great price. In the lower countries, most cultivators mainly just forced Qi through their meridians, hoping that they did something right. Most of the time, these cultivators would die from backlash. If not, they would only circulate through 1 or 2 of the 36 minor meridians, not even touching upon the holy 8 vital meridians.

Author's Thoughts : Sorry for the infodump, Wang Zhuang is going to go BA soon in the next chapter. Stay tuned.

    Chapter 2

Wang Zhuang found the nearest town to him was Du qing town, which when roughly translated could mean Love. As a result, the townspeople tried to be as nice as possible to all visitors and neighbors, and tried to show as much affection as possible. Of course, this was not followed strictly, with a prime example being the branch of the Wang Clan stationed in the town. They lorded over the townspeople, showing no remorse for their please as they raised the taxes of the town to a ridiculous level. Even worse, the Wang Clan held all of the Bazaars in the town firmly in their grasp, taking from the shopkeepers as much as 95% of their sales, leaving many teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, but with nowhere to escape.

Wang Zhuang could find the evidence of corruption from the Wang clan everywhere. In a dark alley, screams of a woman in pain and a man's animalistic grunting could be heard. Wang Zhuang saw a town guard with the Wang clan elbem walk by the sounds, completely unperturbed, fiddling with an essence stone. Wang Zhuang snorted in disgust. With his clever and sharp mind, how could he not know of what goes on between a man and woman behind closed doors, and that aggressive and impulsive men could force this action upon weaker women. He also knew of bribery to keep matters quiet.

Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do. Wang Zhuang grew up small, and there was no way he could fight against a grown man as a child with no cultivation manual. Either way, the deed was done already, and further intrusions would probably just make things worse.

Currently, Wang Zhuang had a problem.

    Money.

The currency of Du qing town was the same as every other town and country, essence stones. These stones had some Qi in them, and could be absorbed to greatly improve cultivation speed. Of course, there were drawbacks. The stones had a very, very pure Qi, but there was very little in a single one. Even the highest level of celestial stone, which hadn't been seen since 500,000 years ago, a Celestial stone, did not have too much Qi in it, although the pureness of it could cause a mortal to instantly be raised to the Vortex realm. Even this was a mere story, everyone doubted the authenticity of the words.

To earn essence stones were hard. Even Human grade essence stones were valuable, and Earth grade stones could cause the entire country to erupt in a massive bloody war.

So, the only thing Wang Zhuang could think of was joining the Wang Clan assassin group and try to earn some essence stones there.

Wang Zhuang was able to barter some apples he found for some breathable black cloth, which he cut into 2 pieces, one small, the other large. The small piece he wrapped around his head, leaving only a slit for his eyes. The other half acted as a clock, so any examiner could not determine his exact height. Wang Zhuang set off for the Wang Clan branch stationed at Da qing town, with a bloodthirsty glint in his large, young eyes.

Wang Zhuang was quickly barred at the entrance of the Branch station by some guards.

"Who are you?" one of the guards suspiciously questioned.
    ,
Wang Zhuang simply flashed the badge he found from the assassin, and the guards cleared the way, albeit slowly. The medal Wang Zhuang had clearly not too big of a status, for mere guards to be arrogant.

As Wang Zhuang briskly walked past the guards, one of them muttered,

    "Filthy dog,"

Wang Zhuang had to tilt his head up slightly at the man, but in his eyes an ominous glint flashed as Wang Zhuang remembered all the details of the man and struck him onto his ever increasing death list.

He then walked towards the side of the main building, with the insignia of the badge burned onto the door. He didn't know if there was a code or something for the place, so after some hesitation, he opened the door silently and slipped in like a ghost.

Inside the place was not what Wang Zhuang expected. Wang Zhuang had guessed that it may be some dining hall or a chatting room at least, but what it was was a dusty, old classroom, besprinkled with antique dust. Cobwebs stood in the corner proudly. Wang Zhuang tentatively walked in, until he heard an old voice whisper right next to him.

"I love the taste of little children!"

Then, creepy giggles resounded in the empty classroom.

    Chapter 3

Wang Zhuang immediately spun around while dashing backwards at the same time. Behind him was a very old, vile looking man. But the most unsettling thing to Wang Zhuang was that he didn't detect the old man's presence, not one bit. Immediately, Wang Zhuang looked for methods of mistake, because he did not doubt the words of the old man, judging from the very faint but vile aura the old man was purposefully blasting everywhere.

Wang Zhuang's heart sank. There were no windows or other doors, and the vile old man was blocking the single exit out of the room, the door,

Immediately, Wang Zhuang took a respectful tone and amplified it by 100 when talking to the old man.

"Senior, how generous of you to visit this lowly disciple!"

Wang Zhuang had of course been developed in the arts of etiquette, with his father being the previous Patriarch of the Wang Clan. Wang Zhuang took it even further and kowtowed till his forehead smashed into the dusty floor. Wang Zhuang did not even flinch.

"Hmm, this kid actually knows what to do when facing an enemy much more powerful than you that may be harboring malicious intentions. Ha ha ha! Inflate their ego!" Inwardly, the old man chuckled fiercely. Finally, he couldn't handle it and burst out laughing at Wang Zhuang's actions. The old man hated the other Wang Clan disciples. They were all insufferably arrogant and did not know when to bend.

"Ha ha ha, I like you kid! You know how to fan the flames of an experts ego to get yourself out of a tricky situation. You're much better than the so called geniuses of the clan. In front of a mighty wave, the fish swimming against it will just get blown away and thrown out of water to be killed. But the fish that swims with the wave will be able to go with the wave when it goes back, getting far in life!" the old man praised. Truly, the old man had great headaches because of some of the antics of the younger generation of clan members. They did not give a single inch of face to everyone, and tried to take a yard. This ended up angering some powerful experts, and the Wang Clan could only ease the pain in their heart as they had to give away numerous treasures to prevent a catastrophe.

The old man threw away his creepy behavior. He introduced himself to Wang Zhuang.

"Little kid, this senior's name is Wang Wulan! You seem like you're talented. Would you like to join the Asura Creed of the clan?"

"Asura Creed?" Wang Zhuang couldn't help but be confused. This Asura Creed had never been mentioned by his father, only the Assassin House.

"You don't know the infamous Asura Creed?" The old man looked genuinely offended.

"This humble disciple is looking for the Assassin House, Senior Wulan." Wang Zhuang immediately used honorifics to try to pry information from Wang Wulan.

"Hah, those pushovers?" Wang Wulan immediately exclaimed. "The Asura Creed wiped out their branch here and took their base. Us two factions have been competing for years, although we are more low-key than those insufferable bastards."

"Senior Wulan, what does the Asura Creed specialize in?" Wang Zhuang was slightly intrigued by this Asura Creed.

Wang Wulan immediately strutted his feathers, trying to bring over Wang Zhuang. Although the Asura Creed was strong, they were simply too small. Although Wang Wulan made the Asura Creed sound grandiose, and indeed it was, but they barely had over ten members in the Creed, although they were all the very cream of the crop of the clan.

"We specialize in every time of close combat, unlike those sneaky bastards from the Assassin Branch who use poison for everything."

Instantly, Wang Zhuang felt as though something was unlocked in his mind. Wang Zhuang had always wondered how the assassin had forced his very powerful father into a dire spot so easily. It turned out that the honorable Patriarch had been poisoned in a power struggle!

Then, Wang Zhuang asked the question that had been weighing on his mind the whole time.

"Did you support the previous patriarch loyally?"

A look of surprise flashed across Wang Wulan's face before it hardened with conviction.

"Yes!" Wang Wulan answered, with his voice confident.

    Wang Zhuang smiled.

"Well then, it seems like I've returned home."

    Chapter 4

Wang Zhuang was caught by Wang Wulan's arms. Over the course of time after Wang Zhuang saw his family murdered, he had gotten very little rest. His 9 year old body could simply not handle the physical and mental backlash and had entered a state of shut down.

Wang Wulan's cultivation base was unfathomable. He immediately discerned the problem and brought Wang Zhuang through a hidden door in the wall, leading into the true Asura Creed headquarters. Wang Wulan set Wang Zhuang down on top of a nearby table. Inside the room were a few tables, two bookshelves, and four chairs, upon which were children.

Wang Wulan quickly pulled out a golden looking herb from a jar on one of the bookshelves and ground it into fine dust with Qi. Mixing it with a small gourd of water he pulled from his robe, Wang Wulan forced the water through Wang Zhuang's pores. Finally, Wang Wulan sighed with relief, and looked upon the black cloth covering Wang Zhuang's face. Internally debating, finally Wang Wulan pulled off the cloth. When he did, Wang Wulan's eyes dilated with shock.

"Young Master, you've come home! I'm sorry! This unfilial one couldn't protect brother's family!" Wang Wulan sobbed.

When Wang Zhuang awoke, he was in a completely different room than before. He threw off the heavy cloth on him and saw a few inquisitive gazes looking his way. There were four children gathered around the desk Wang Zhuang had been lying on.

Quickly trying to gain his bearings, Wang Zhuang looked around the room. It was a clean, spotless room, with just some tables, bookshelves and chairs. As Wang Zhuang's gaze moved over to the door, he noticed two things. One, Wang Wulan was standing there looking dignified, and two, the cloth covering Wang Zhuang's face was gone!

"Do you know who I am?" Wang Zhuang asked tentatively.

Wang Wulan laughed, "How could I not know the previous Young Patriarch of the Wang Clan?"

Then, Wang Zhuang was introduced to the four children he saw previously. There were 3 boys, and one girl. The three boys were Wang Chao, Wang Fai, and Wang Fan. The girl was named Wang Ju.

After introducing Wang Zhuang to the children, Wang Wulan proudly said, "These are all the disciples of the Asura Creed."

Author's note : Sorry for how short this chapter was and how I skipped two days. My AC broke and so I didn't have time to type. I made this during the car rides to my friend's place, because my apartment was at 96 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Chapter 5

"So small?" Wang Zhuang thought. He was seriously surprised by the fact that there was only 5 members, counting Wang Wulan.

"How come there are only 5 members?" Wang Zhuang asked, "You said there was 10."

Wang Wulan bursted into a hearty laughter. "Those little sh*ts got thrown in the dungeon a while ago. Just because they are the best in the clan, thinking they are the best in the world. They ended up angering the city lords manshion.

Wang Zhuang gasped. Even the mighty Wang Clan could only bow down to the might of the city lords mansion.

    ---

Dismissing the other Asura Creed members, Wang Wulan suddenly turned somber.

    "Who killed my sworn brother?"

Although it was comical for an aged relic like Wang Wulan to be calling Wang Zhuang's father his sworn brother, Wang Zhuang had no time for such trivial things.

"Wang Zhao", Wang Zhuang spat venomously.

"That sly fox has always wanted the position of clan chief, seems like blood relations really have no effect on the shameless." Wang Wulans eyes burned with hate.

    ---
After that conversation, Wang Zhuang got to the issue of cultivation.

"Little fellow, have you started cultivating yet?" Asked Wang Wulan.

"No, but I don't think that I will chose impatiently, choosing the proper cultivation manual is the most important thing.

"Hahaha, I really like you kid. All of the other kids in the clan instantly wanted the highest level cultivation manual that we had, not even taking a glance at the other manuals.

Taking Wang Zhuang to the library stationed at this small town took 15 minutes, then they finally ended up at a rundown building.

"Here we are," Wang Wulan laughed, "The mighty and grandiose library of the Wang Clan branch in Du Qing town."

AN: no excuse for lack of chapters, but school was an issue.
